 Frequently Asked Questions

TOP 5 QUESTIONS WE HEAR FROM PATIENTS
Do you accept insurance?

We can assist with direct billing, depending on insurance plan stipulations and conditions

How much is covered by insurance?

All insurance plans are different and depends on the policy that was selected by you or your workplace.  It is important for you to be familiar with your plan details.

How often should I visit the dentist?

It is recommended to visit at the least every 6 months to assess for any changes.  Changes in the oral cavity can happen very quickly and it is important to stay on top of any problems to avoid serious and costly future complications.  In cases of active disease, more frequent visits may be required.

Do I need x-rays?

This is based on previous dental history but the dentist generally would recommend a full mouth survey to assess for things that cannot be seen with the eye.  Pathology like cavities, bone loss, cysts, lesions, tumors, and sinus issues can be detected that sometimes cannot be determined by just visual examination.

When should children have their first visit?

Children should be seen 6 months after the eruption of their first teeth (around age of 1).  This visit is mostly for parent information, assessment of oral cleaning habits and just to make them comfortable and familiar with the dental setting.
